A strong focus will be also put over the HCP role in building patients’ motivation and prompting them to adopt connected devices.
A live Q&A session will complete the event.

Silja-Riin Voolma
M.D. (EE)
Dr. Silja-Riin Voolma is a Cambridge-educated health psychologist with over a decade of experience in designing behavior change interventions and implementing connected health products and services across the startup, private, and government sectors.
She has advised ministries of health across Estonia, Scotland, Bermuda, and Malaysia on adopting a human motivation lens in solving healthcare challenges related to chronic disease prevention and management.
Dr Voolma has designed behavior change interventions across multiple health experiences, including type II diabetes, cardiovascular disease, addiction disorders, and mental health conditions.
Her approach to behavior change centers on theory and evidence-based techniques supporting intrinsic motivation, autonomy, and individual choice in intersectional contexts of change.

Domenico Cianflone
M.D. PhD (IT)
Professor Domenico Cianflone is the Director Cardiovascular Prevention & Rehabilitation San Raffaele Hospital & University in Milan and Full Professor in Cardiovascular Medicine at Vita-Salute San Raffaele University. He also is Advisor to American Heart Association and to the Digital Therapeutic Alliance Clinician Advisory Group (CAG). He is a Deputy Editor-in-Chief for International Journal of Cardiology – Elsevier and Deputy Editor-in-Chief IJC for Cardiovascular Risk and Prevention – Elsevier. Professor Cianflone is a researcher in the cardiovascular area within >6500 citations, h-index 32, and RG score = 42.18 (top 97.5 percentile). He has coordinated several medical telematics and telemedicine research projects funded by the European Commission, European Space Agency (ESA) and G7/G8. He was the coordinator of numerous studies on the mechanisms of angina pectoris and heart attack, which were funded by the Ministry of Health, Ministry of Higher Education and non-profit research organizations on the cellular, molecular and genetic causes of myocardial infarction and ischemic heart disease. His Academic activities includes teaching cardiology at Medical School (at the International MD Program), at the University Degree and at the Master’s Degree program for physiotherapists, as well as at the Postgraduate School in Cardiovascular Medicine a Vita-Salute San Rafaello University.
